My system has a broken head – Can I still water?

Yes, you can... sort of.  It depends on how broken the head is.
For this question we will assume the head is seriously broken and functioning more like a fountain than a sprinkler. Running a zone with the broken head will waste a lot of water and possibly create erosion or undermining so continued operation is not recommended.
However, you can shut off the zone with the broken head and allow the rest of the system to water until a service technician can replace the head. Simply turn the time on the zone with the broken head to 0 minutes. Not sure how to do that? Check out our controller articles for information.
